New Breast Cancer Awareness And Information
By Precious Chinwe Chibuzo

Breast cancer can be said to be one of the oldest known type of cancer tumors in humans mostly in women. The oldest description of this deadly disease, though the term cancer was not used, was discovered in Egypt years ago.

The most prevalent cancer in women is Breast Cancer; it is also the second most common cause of death in women apart from lung cancer. Because the breast is composed of identical tissues in males and females, breast cancer also occurs in males though it is less common.

In the olden days before technological advances, there was a belief that there is no treatment for cancer. For years, many physicians in their practices described similar cases with the same sad conclusion that there is no treatment for cancer.
The story remained the same until some doctors achieved greater understanding of the circulatory system that a link between breast cancer and the lymph nodes in the armpit can be established and be removed at the same time.

The first attempt to remove the lymph nodes, breast tissue, and underlying chest muscle was successful, which removed the fear that there is no treatment for the deadly disease called breast cancer.

Most breast pain or painful breast lump can be a case of early breast cancer. Since breast mammography started, breast cancer is most frequently discovered as a nodule that causes no symptom on a mammogram, before any symptoms are present.
The probability of breast cancer rises with age, but breast cancer tends to be more aggressive when it occurs in younger people.

Usual signs of Breast Cancer

Hey you guys.I hope you haven't missed me that much and forgotten about me. Well i am back with a whole lot of information on cancer and how we can all prevent it.
I was flipping through some sites and saw this article about the signs that you can use to suspect if one has breast cancer and i have decided to publish it, hope you find it very useful.

Signs Know If You Have Breast Cancer
By Tabitha Kimani

Knowing your body well will help you know normal changes and changes that need medical attention. Having regular check up give you great defense against cancer.

Following Are Some Symptoms of Cancer To look for:

- Unfamiliar pain in your breast or in the armpit - It's unusual in sense that pain is different from how you feel when you have monthly periods. Also if it you feel it in one rather than both breasts. If it is not caused by hormonal changes then go to the doctor for checked up.

- A lump or a tumor in the breast or in the armpit - Sometimes is caused by hormonal changes but if it persists don't wait before it is too late. Go for screening and know the cause of swelling.

- A change in size or shape of the mature breast - If you notice any changes in a mature breast more so if it's occurring on one breast only. That is a cause for alarm to seek health professional for cancer breast examination.

- Fluid other than milk leaking from the nipple - During your menopause you may experience non-blood leakage from nipples of both breasts due to hormonal changes. But if it occurs on one breast only, then you need medical attention.

- Change in size of the nipple - When your body weight changes it is natural for nipple to change its size too. But if it retracts in and doesn't return to its normal shape, seek help from your doctor for cancer manual examination. If there is a problem below the surface of the nipple then having a diagnostic mammogram or ultrasound may be the best option.

- Changes of color, shape or texture of the nipple - If you notice puckers, a rash on the nipple skin or darker skin that around the nipple. And after using some cream still doesn't help, then don't waste more time consult doctor when still in its curable stage.

However it is important to know that breast implants, usage of antiperspirants, and wearing under wire bras do not raise your risk for breast cancer. There is also no proven evidence yet to link breast cancer and abortion.

NEW BEGINNING

Hi ya all. It has been ages since I have written, I have been away for about 4 months (it is a whole lot shorter than the other time). I have been trying to cope with the stress of my job (it is taking extreme strength for me to write this).
I really need to plan my time, I should write more (at least once a week).
I am also glad to let you know that I have acquired an internet connection for my use at home which means I will be able to write more and also research more to give you the very best (yippee!). I am only able to use the internet during the weekends (that is the package that I subscribed to, but I intend changing to an every day, every hour plan).
Well I really have not planned to write anything, just wanted to let you know that I am alive and well.
So to all my fans; get ready for a swell time ‘cos I am going to take on a wonderful, spectacular ride.
Hope to see you tomorrow (after I come back from the wedding I am attending).
Bye for now, your girl, Bim nubi.

DOES VITAMIN A CAUSE CANCER?

According to Swedish researchers, high intake of vitamin A apparently reduces the risk of developing gastric cancer. Vitamin A comes pre-formed, as retinol in foods of animal origin, or in precursor form, as carotenoids in fruits and vegetables e.g. Carrots. Dr Susanna C. Larasson of the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm and colleagues explain in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Vitamin A may influence the development of stomach cancer through its role in controlling call proliferation; the researchers write that however, epidermiologic studies of vitamin A, retinol (preformed vitamin A) and provitamin A carotenoid in relation to the risk of gastric cancer have documented inconsistent results.

Well that is all for today. I don’t know when I would be able to post because I have got to go to work and always arrive late and tired. I will however give it my best shot.

Stay beautifully blessed.
Your girl, Bim nubi.

FIGHT CANCER CELLS WITH YOUR DIET

Welcome to a new day on this blog.

We all know that the major method of treating cancer is by using chemotherapy and radiation. However these methods have very horrible after-effect that makes it very unbearable for cancer patients. However recently there has been the suggestion that monitoring your diet can help kill the cancer cells and decrease the extent to which you might need chemotherapy and radiation.

Here are a few things that you need to avoid/consume to help you fight cancer cells in your body. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

Cancer cells feeds on some foods and survive. Examples are:
1. Sugar: It is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like aspartame should not be used too because it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be honey and molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. A better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.

2. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer cells are being starved.

3. Cancer cells thrive in acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

4. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. It is best to drink purified water or filtered water to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, so avoid it.

5. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.

You can however consume a diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruit while 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (and eat fresh fruits) including bean sprouts and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40oC).
Hope you enjoyed today’s article. Love to see you next time. Remember to let your family and friends know about what you learn here, it could save their lives.

Remain beautifully blessed, Bim nubi.

FACTS ABOUT CANCER CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADIATION

Hi you guys. I have an article on cancer chemotherapy and radiation that I hope would help you a lot.

Cancer is usually managed using chemotherapy and radiation. Chemotherapy is used as a palliative measure and to prolong life. It may involve the use of cytotoxic drugs, steroid hormones and immunotherapy. However chemotherapy and radiation have some certain aspects that cause discomfort to patients undergoing the treatment. They include:

Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and cause organ damage like the liver, kidneys, heart, lungs.

Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy does not result in more tumor destruction.

When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation, the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

With all these complication or undesirable effect that chemotherapy and radiation has, they are still the major methods of dealing with cancer. They give cancer patients the hope of living a better and healthier life.

However there might be a new way of complimenting the efforts of chemotherapy and radiation, thereby reducing the amount of exposure to these methods. Want to know about it? Join me next time and you would know because I am not letting the cat out of the bag.

Hope you are truly informed. Like I always say, let all your family and friends know about what you learn here, it is your duty to them.

Till I come your way next time, it’s your girl, Bim nubi saying ‘Remain beautifully blessed’. Ciao.

FACTS ABOUT CANCEROUS/CANCER CELLS

Hi ya all, hope you are doing great and have not missed me too much? I have a wonderful piece on cancer cells that might make you sad and spur you into eating and living healthy. But it is important that I share it with you. The most important way to fight any disease is with knowledge, by knowing what causes it, how to prevent it and adhering strictly to its preventive ways we can reduce the chances of acquiring the disease (I hope you understand what I am trying to say).

It would be wonderful if you don’t keep this information to yourself but share with others. Hope you are enlightened with it.

Here are the facts:
Fact #1: Every person has cancer cells in the body (that is not good to know). These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. This means that when doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it is because the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells as they have not reached the detectable cells.

Fact #2: Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime.

Fact #3: Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level (i.e. the body’s cells). Now you have one more reason to exercise. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Fact #4: When a person’s immune system is strong, the cancer cells will be destroyed and be prevented from multiplying and forming tumors. So try to take lots of fruits and vegetables to help improve your immune system.

Fact #5: When a person has cancer it indicates such person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. It could also be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

Fact #6: Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from / eating less of meat, it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body‘s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

Know that cancer is a disease of the mind, body and spirit. Having a proactive and positive spirit would help the cancer patient to be a survivor. Anger, resentment and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life (everyone should do that).

Hope you enjoyed today’s piece. Remember to share what you have learnt with other people.
Stay beautifully blessed, your girl, Bim nubi. Ciao.
