I AM SORRY

It has been about 2 weeks since i last wrote, well i am sorry but i assure you that i have a good reason. I was reading, trying to prepare for an interview where i would be asked professional questions. I was trying to brush up on my knowledge.

Anyway i have been finally inducted as a pharmacist. After so many years the day finally arrived and it felt so unreal (it still does). The plans that i made went out of control, it didn't go according to my plans. So many things that i won't have imagined happened. It started with my suit, it was not the one i would have loved to wear but i had to make do with it because i didn't see anyone that was my size (i am incredibly tiny). Then the car/van that my uncle was to use to bring my grandmother overheated and she couldn't get to the venue on time.

As if that was not enough as we were going home at around 8 p.m, we had 2 burst tyres when we were on the expressway.

That day is one that i won't forget for anything. Anyway i am grateful to God for my life and that of my mum and the driver.

I have to go now because i have another interview. I have to find a job as fast as i can. I will try to write this week. Hope i really do.

See you soon.
Remain beautifully blessed.

BAD NEWS FOR MEN: MEN ALSO HAVE BREAST CANCER

If you are a guy, I am sure that when you saw the heading of this article you must have been so shocked you probably feel off a chair. This news must be one that probably made you lose your appetite especially if you didn’t know about the fact that men actually, actually have breast cancer.

Most of my guy friends before they knew that breast cancer affected men would always act uninterested when I talked about the fact that Pink (or pink ribbon) is used to create awareness for breast cancer. They always said that pink is a typical color for women (even though that is not necessarily true). When they heard that they can also get breast cancer, they were not too happy.

Well, it seems that due to the fact that the breasts of both men and women have identical tissues both men and women are at risk of developing breast cancer. The cancerous cells usually originate in the cells of the ducts but it can at times originate from the lobules.

According to research, it has been estimated that approximately 1,700 men are going to be diagnosed with breast cancer and about 450 will die if they are not diagnosed early. The percentage is small compared to that in females but it is still significant for those that are affected.

Therefore it is essential that men should also try to give themselves breast self examinations and take notice of any unusual changes in their breasts. They should report any changes that they observe to their physicians.

Factors that might increase the risk of breast cancer include too much alcohol consumption and obesity. Though women are believed to be more prone than men because of the breast of women constantly undergoes various changes due to growth changing hormones.

As time goes on, many scientists and doctors continue to dedicate themselves to researching on breast cancer and how to effectively treat this disease. Hopefully very soon they would find better and effective ways to cure breast cancer.

Remember that October is the month dedicated to creating awareness about breast cancer and that pink is the official colour for breast cancer. Try to help support initiatives that are done to raise money for researches and breast cancer awareness initiatives. You won’t be sorry.

Well, that is all for now.

Remain beautifully blessed.

LIFE AFTER DIAGNOSIS

I saw this article and decided to honour this woman by publishing this article. Hope you are inspired by this article. See you at the other end.

Breast Cancer and the Amazing Life You Can Have After Going Through This Trauma -

This is My Story
By Suellen Sutherland

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 46, which in breast cancer terms is neither young or old. The lump was very large and was situated behind the nipple. It was that large that the doctor said to me "don't worry, it is too big to be cancer".

The first thing that happened was I was sent for a hormone level check to determine if I was post or premenopause as this is very important in what the severity of the cancer maybe. The results came back pre which is more severe than post as the cancer feeds on estrogen which would not be present in the body if you are post menopause.

Because the lump was situated directly behind the nipple the doctor did not think that he could save the nipple so I decided to have the breast removed. After researching what my post treatment would be I also thought this would save the process of radiation.

I believe that the biggest cause of breast cancer is stress, at the time I was diagnosed I was traveling 6 hours a day by train to and from work and my son was a drug addict using heroin. Our body's can only take so much.

For about 6 months prior to being diagnosed I was not right, I was suffering really bad night sweats and was mentally all over the shop. I went to the doctor who told me I was having a break down and prescribed me Prozack.

When I found the lump it can as no surprise. Our body tries hard to tell us when things are not right and we need to listen to it. I had to leave the job, and at the time had no money and no family to support me. My saving grace was my girlfriends who supported me no end. Not financially, but just being there for me.

This was 6 years ago and I have come so far since then and have realized that support in the way of females can provide the inspiration to overcome any obstacle. I now have a male partner who loves me to death. I am blessed, and grateful for every day that I wake up.

My wish is that everyone live the life of theirs dreams, that is why I created http://www.sassywomeninspired.com/ It is our birthright to have wealth and abundance, there is enough to go around. CAN OBESITY INCREASE YOUR RISKS OF CANCER?

Well it has been said that obesity raises the risk of getting cancer. The article below talks about it. I hope you enjoy it and learn to live healthy.

Oh! By the way how was your New Year celebration? Did you make any resolutions (and plans to keep them)? Hope one of your New year’s resolution was to eat healthy.

Breast Cancer - Another Obesity Victim
By Tom Crystal

Obesity raises the risk of various types of cancer. And only 3% people know that obesity increases cancer risks. According to a recent research based on one million Americans conducted by the American cancer society, 14% of cancer deaths in men and 20% of cancer deaths in women occur due to Obesity. Scientists say that 90,000 deaths can be avoided in America if they take good care to maintain their body weight. Women are more likely to get cancer in their breasts, gallbladder, ovaries, colon and cervix while men get cancer in colon and rectum.

Breast cancer in women:

There are more than 200 different types of cancer, but together breast, lung, bowel and prostate cancer cover half of the cancer cases. Breast cancer is the most common cancer found in females. Overweight and obesity are the major causes of breast cancer.

Obesity and Breast cancer risk in females:

Obese women have higher amounts of estrogen in their body. Estrogen is mainly produced from the fatty tissues and more amount of fat in your body means you have higher chances of getting affected by breast cancer. Good nutrition, healthy living conditions and a fine environment may help girls to start puberty earlier in life and attain menopause later. Estrogen develops though out the fertility period. And better levels of estrogen in the body increases the risk of breast cancer in women.

Breast cancer in men:

Breast cancer is generally found in females but it is also seen in males. Recent research shows that breast cancer among males is also on the increase. And obesity is one of its main causes. In males too estrogen is responsible for breast cancer.

Obesity and breast cancer :

• Obesity affects both the development and progression of breast cancer.

• Post menopausal cancer risk is higher among obese women.

• Breast cancer mortality is higher in obese women.

• Body weight measured at different times during life also causes breast cancer.
